My name is Amanda Aleman and I am 12 years old. I am currently in the 7th grade and I attend Miami Arts Studio. Even though my first priority is getting good grades in school, my favorite hobby is playing basketball. I have always been interested in the field of technology, and amazed on how fast the industry is growing every day...
Ever since I was in kindergarden, I have been playing basketball. Basketball has been a key aspect of my life, and it encourages me to do my best. I love making people proud of me when they watch me play. But more importantly, I love being proud of myself. When I step on the court, I feel like that is when I am at my best.
I have been interested in the interior design field for a very long time. I am a very creative person, which would greatly benefit me if I ever went into this career path. Ever since I was little I have watched interior design shows, wondering what it would be like to one day go into that field.
Ever since I began grade school, my number one priority in life has been to get good grades in school. I believe that the grades that I have been getting since kindergarden are a massive accomplishment of mine. In the past I have been awarded certificates for getting good grades, which I enjoy getting because it shows that I have been working very hard to have good grades. Besides, getting good grades show that you are getting a good education, which is very important in life. I think that getting good grades is the first step of getting into a good college to get a good job that I enjoy.
In Elementary school, I had been in a program called National Elementary Honor Society (N.E.H.S). This program recognizes good grades, good moral character, and helps encourage commumity service. When I transitioned to Middle school, I was then enrolled in the National Junior Honor Society (N.J.H.S). This is basically the same program, but is more challenging and is for older students. Being in the N.J.H.S organization is an achievement of mine because it represents that I am a good student, with an even better character. This will also help improve my chances of getting into a good college because it is a nice quality to have on your application form.
